The children currently in the care of the K.I.Ds programme recently went to Gozo for the day.
The day started with a relatively early departure to Gozo where the children and staff spent the morning swimming in Marsalforn bay. When it was lunchtime, all were treated to lunch by Smuggler’s Cave which was thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by all. For the last part of the day, the children were taken to Hondoq ir-Rummien for more swimming till dusk.
This has become an annual tradition which both the children and staff look forward to. Quality time together tells our children that we care about them, and has also proven to be beneficial to their development and happiness.
Apart from fulfilling their duties, our professionals also spend quality time with the children on a regular basis. We believe that it’s not enough to only be there on special occassions or times of crises; children need to feel consistantly loved and cared for to become mentally and emotionally strong individuals.
