This Volunteers’ Away Day was organised to ensure that the volunteers that are currently supporting Richmond Foundation are equipped with all the information they need to do their tasks in a therapeutic manner.
The first part of the day consisted of an informative talk delivered by our professionals. We started off the talk by reminding them of all the services that are currently offered by the Foundation, and then proceeded to discuss how they should approach different situations whilst dealing with clients. The focus was mainly on the importance of keeping healthy boundaries intact and maintaining confidentiality.
The second part of the day consisted of a fun activity planned by JUGS Malta. The volunteers where presented with various challenges that they had to complete whilst roaming around Mdina. Since volunteers rarely interact, we wanted to organize something where they could engage with one another and get to know each other better.
This informative and fun day was made possible through the Helping People; Changing Lives Project, as part of the Voluntary Organisations Project Scheme (VOPS).
